Vanilla Flavored Coffee: Great Flavored Coffee With a Vanilla Taste

Custom Search

Vanilla flavored coffee, not to be confused with French vanilla coffee, is ground with vanilla beans or vanilla essence into the coffee beans. French vanilla is technically a vanilla flavor with an egg custard foundation, but often it's used to describe a more intense or aromatic vanilla. If you like a lighter vanilla, skip French vanilla and go with these tasty originals:

Maxwell House (http://www.maxwellhouse.com)

Maxwell House coffee has been around for ages, first served to patrons of the Maxwell House Hotel in Nashville, TN in 1892. Since then it’s become a leading brand of 100% Arabica bean coffee.

Maxwell House’s Vanilla coffee is a medium roast with a light vanilla flavor. You may even be able to detect hints of apple-cinnamon and caramel in this coffee. It’s a popular choice among light coffee drinkers because it doesn’t have the harsh dark coffee taste of regular coffee.

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (http://www.greenmountaincoffee.com)

Green Mountain makes a certified organic and fair-trade Vanilla Cream Coffee. The vanilla flavoring is made with natural vanilla beans without any added sugars or artificial flavors.

There’s no dairy in this vanilla flavored coffee, although “cream” is in the name. The name is attributed to the smooth texture of the coffee. Because the coffee contains no sugar, but still has a vanilla flavor, people can also take pleasure in the vanilla sweetness without adding extra sugar to their diet.

CoffeeAM (http://www.coffeeam.com)

Coffee AM also has a Vanilla Cream Coffee. It’s a medium roast that can be bought whole bean, drip ground, or French pressed. This coffee’s decadent and filling with a creamy coffee flavor infused with a splash of silky vanilla. If you want something more than plain vanilla, you can also try their other vanilla varieties. They offer Vanilla Nut, Vanilla Hazelnut, and Vanilla Macadamia Nut.

If you love an intense vanilla flavor, try a regular coffee with vanilla syrup added. You can control how little or how much you pour in, making a custom cup of vanilla flavored coffee you will really enjoy.
